Special Arrangements
Disabilities:
MSNCB and the Center for Nursing Education and Testing (C-NET) will make special arrangements to accommodate candidates with disabilities that interfere with test taking. You must first apply to take the exam before requesting these arrangements. When you apply to take the exam, you must check the box on the application that special arrangements will be needed. Doing this only notifies MSNCB and C-NET that special arrangements will be needed, but not what kind of special arrangements.
- Eight (8) weeks before testing, you must contact C-NET in writing, providing the following information:
- Name of the exam (Medical-Surgical Certification)
- Format of the exam (Paper and Pencil or Computer-Based Testing). If taking a P&P exam, you must also provide the date and location of the exam
- Documentation of the disability - this is required so that C-NET can provide you with the appropriate arrangements.
Every effort will be made to accommodate your disability. However, to accommodate some requests, a change of exam date or exam location may be required.
Religious Observance: Candidates with religious observance prohibitions against testing on a Saturday should choose to test by CBT (computer-based testing) and schedule their exam accordingly.
