Authorization to Test and Scheduling

On October 30, 2020, MSNCB transferred the Care Coordination and Transition Management (CCCTM) certification program to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

If you hold an active CCCTM certification and are renewing, are interested in the CCCTM certification, or looking to verify CCCTM credentials, please visit the ANCC website. You may also contact ANCC at for more information.

Once your application has been reviewed and processed, you will receive an Authorization to Test from MSNCB to schedule your computer-based testing (CBT) exam at a Prometric testing center.

nursesAuthorization to Test (ATT)

Your ATT will provide a 90-day period within which to schedule and take your exam. It will also contain information about how to schedule your exam.  Be sure to schedule your exam appointment as soon as possible, even if you plan to test towards the end of the 90-day period. Exam dates may vary by location and are on a first come, first serve basis.

You may receive your ATT same day and up to 3 days after submitting your application. It will be sent by email or MSNCB will contact you if more information regarding your application is needed.  If you do not receive your ATT within 1 week, contact MSNCB at

You must bring one unexpired, government-issued photo ID with a signature (e.g., driver's license or passport) when you arrive at the Prometric testing center. If you are testing outside of your country of citizenship, you must present a valid passport. If you are testing within your country of citizenship, you must present either a valid passport, driver's license, national ID or military ID. Temporary paper copies are unacceptable.

Your name on the ATT must match your government issued photo ID.  If they do not match, contact MSNCB immediately.

There is no charge for changing an appointment within the same testing period if the change is made more than 15 days in advance of your current appointment. If rescheduling between 6-15 days of your scheduled appointment, you will be charged $25 at the time the change is made.

To schedule or reschedule your exam appointment outside of your assigned 90-day period, you may request a one-time 90-day extension (fees apply). Candidates must cancel any existing appointment to be eligible for an extension.

MSNCB FailSafe Certification Program™ candidates and are not eligible for an extension.

Candidates who miss their exam appointment cannot reschedule or apply for an extension. Instead, the candidate must reapply and pay the full certification exam fees. Learn more about extensions.

Candidates will receive their test results at the end of the exam. A total score and subscores in the examination content areas are provided for all testing candidates. Subscores in each of the examination content areas can be used to assist in further study for those who choose to retake the exam. Candidates will receive their exam scores via email within 24 hours of exam completion.
